Sample classes.

On a hot or stormy day the long walk moves to the morning and the afternoon stays near the trailhead.

The three blocks

What the blocks look like

Most days are some mix of these three, matched to the week's theme and the sky.

A fork in a woodland trail with a rope swing hanging from a tree

The trail block

A walk with a counselor in front and one at the back, with water and a snack at every stop. Campers take turns at the front, and we stop to look at plants, tracks and weather.

A green dome tent with its door open and a sleeping pad inside, on grass above a lake

The camp block

Pairs choose a spot, set up a shade fly, tie the lines and set a camp kitchen table, then take it all down so the site is left as found.

A compass, a wooden whistle and a patterned blue cloth on a log above a lake

The navigate block

A trail map, a compass and a short route. Campers find where the group is, take a bearing and tell the counselor what the trail ahead does.

See the weeks

Every week follows this frame, and each adds its own theme to the blocks.
